Rehoboth's Special School 

for mentally and physically challenged children from very poor homes

​

Rehoboth, TN - India, runs a special school for mentally & physically challenged children from very poor households. The initiative was started as a day care facility, with the intent to help the mothers of these children. The day care was as a safe place to leave the children, so the mothers can then go out and make a living. The day care then started to slowly take shape into a Special School for these physically & mentally challenged children.

During the initial days, the children of Rehoboth's Special School, shared space with Rehoboth's palliative care facility until 2018. Money collected through a crowd funding campaign, was used to construct a roof over the palliative care facility in February 2019. This provided the children with a space of their own to study and undergo their therapy sessions.
